This database is an excellent resource for compiling lists of employers. You can search for companies by domain of activity, by using keywords and by entering geographical limiters. A typical entry lists the company's address and contact information and in some cases the names of the relevant people in the organization.

American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) & The Center - Gateway of Associations
Trade associations often publish original data on the current salaries and trends in that industry/profession. The Gateway of Associations is a directory that can help you locate the web sites of trade associations. Once at a trade association web site, look for sections called research, resources, publications, or reports for data freely available on the web.

Glassdoor.com
For insider information on company ratings, reviews, and salaries. Search for specific company and location combinations and obtain reported salaries for specific positions, company reviews and descriptions of real interviews.

JobStar Salary Guide
Links to over 300 online salary surveys in a broad range of fields, put out by associations, nonprofit organizations, magazines, and other research bodies.

Mediabistro.com - Salary Survey
Mediabistro conducted its first-ever salary poll in late 2004-early 2005 asking readers to submit their salary data for a wide variety of media-related jobs. The survey is divided by region and industry.

Excellent salary calculator uses experience, degree, GPA, location and more to calculate salaries. Simply select "jobseeker" on the main page to get started.

National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Salary Information
The National Association of Colleges and Employers's JobWeb site is geared to new college graduates. It provides data and rankings of top majors, employers, and jobs; starting salaries for selected majors; salary surveys, benefits information, and money management advice.
