- Alumnet offers three levels of networking for Simmons students and graduates:
Mentoring request form
Fill out this form about your professional interests, and the Office of Alumnae/i Relations will pair you with a mentor in your field.
Simmons professional networking service
Search for alumnae/i in an occupation that interests you or for advice on career topics like work/life balance, changing careers, issues of gender or ethnicity in the workplace, etc. (Note: You must be registered with Alumnet to use this service.)
Alumnet directory
The broadest option for connecting with Simmons alums. Use the advanced search option to limit by profession, Simmons school or major, geographic location, etc. (Note: You must be registered with Alumnet to use this service.)

Social Networking
Sites like MySpace and Facebook are great for keeping up with friends, but they're also helpful in the job search. In addition to the big two, there are several social networking sites tailored specifically to professional development. To make the most of these sites, spend time updating and enriching your profiles with interests, professional goals and new skills. Don't be shy about adding new friends or joining groups within your career area(s).

An online network of more than 70 million experienced professionals in over 200 countries. Executives from all Fortune 500 companies. When you join, you create a profile that summarizes your professional accomplishments. Your profile helps you find and be found by former colleagues, clients, and partners. Ryze: Business Networking
Ryze helps you network to grow your business, build your career and life, find a job and make sales. Members get a free networking-oriented home page and can send messages to other members. They can also join special Networks related to their industry, interests or location. More than 1,000 organizations host Networks on Ryze to help their members interact with each other and grow their organizations.

Spoke provides online business-to-business contact information designed specifically to help individuals and organizations find people at their target accounts. This study published in the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Volume 74, Issue 2, April 2009, pages 181-189 indicates a correlation between mentoring and career satisfaction. It also suggests a relationship between having a powerful mentor and career success. The authors of the study are Gerhard Blickle, Alexander H. Witzkia, and Paula B. Schneider.

A program for the student of the Graduate School of Library Science.
Mosaic Multicultural Mentoring Program
A mentoring and job-shadowing program that matches sophomore and junior students of color with alums of color. This program is a service of Simmons' Career Education Center (CEC).
Success Connection Leadership Program
This is a program offered through the Career Education Center (CEC). Simmons students who are planning on a May (or January) graduation are eligible to be paired up with successful Simmons alums.
